Meet
the Staff of Olivedale Senior Center
Martha
Maul, Center Director
Joining Olivedale in January 2004, Martha is
responsible for the leadership of the Senior Center and
manages its daily operations. She directs the
educational, recreational and wellness programs, serves in public
relations capacity and is liaison to outside
senior-related agencies and issues. A graduate of Ohio
University, Martha holds a Bachelors of Science Degree
in Business Administration, with a Major in Management.
Her work experience includes business and industry in
the private and public sector.
Stacey
Scarmack, Exercise Physiologist
Since 1997, Stacey has been responsible for the
strengthening and conditioning programs of the Wellness
Center. She conducts fitness evaluations and
orientations in addition to class instruction. Her
Bachelor's is from Kent State and Master's from Ohio
University in Exercise Physiology. Stacey is anxious to
help you with your exercise program.
Betty Palmer, Kitchen and Volunteer Coordinator
Betty joined the staff in January 2007. She recruits and
organizes the efforts of many Olivedale volunteers. In
addition to kitchen management, Betty plans food events,
arranges game prizes and is an excellent cook. If you
are interested in volunteer opportunities, Betty wants
to meet you.
Carla Young, Administrative Assistant
Carla began in August 2008 and provides
administrative and computer support for the Center. She
works on a customer service base in the office that
serves our members as well as the community. Carla is
the one that knows what is going on and is always ready
to assist you.
Debbie Probasco, Receptionist
The newest member of the staff, Debbie began as
Receptionist in September 2008. Greeting customers via
telephone and in person, Debbie also conducts most
business at the front desk. She received an Associates
Degree in accounting from Southeastern Business College
and is well versed in computer use. With Debbie's office
experience, she is willing and able to assist you.
Linda
Lane, Recreation Coordinator
Joining us in May, 2007, Linda is involved with the many
activities at Olivedale. She assists the groups’ leaders,
plans travel opportunities and contributes to the monthly
newsletter. Linda likes to hear new ideas and welcomes
your input.
Ryan Clark, Facilities Maintenance
Ryan started at Olivedale in January 2008. He
oversees the maintenance and custodial needs inside and
outside. In addition to set-up and readying for all the
Center’s activities, Ryan is a Certified Pool Operator and
holds several certifications for maintenance management.
Lowell
Staten, Custodian
Since early 2002, Lowell has been with Olivedale as
part-time custodian. In addition to cleaning and
maintaining supplies, he assists with set-up and fills
in where needed. You'll find Lowell outside also in the
grass-growing season, as he helps maintain the lawn and
grounds at Olivedale. He gets in and out early, but
always ready to help.
