    Second Tuesday Lunch: A Taste of Italy

    Lasagna, garlic bread, salad and dessert with coffee or iced tea, $8. Preregister by Friday, September 4. Carry-out is available for pickup after 12:00 p.m. — let the office know when you buy your ticket.

    New Member Meeting

    A getting-to-know-you reception for new and nearly new members. Learn the history of the center, what activities are offered and how to volunteer. RSVP to the office.

    Browsers and Search Engines

    Andrew covers two basics of using the internet: web browsers and search engines. Learn internet vocabulary, how to read a web address and how to read search results, and leave with a list of useful websites.

  • · 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

    Flu, COVID and RSV Shots

    Fairfield County Health Department nurses will be at Olivedale. Contact the office with the shots you need so they bring enough vaccine. They return Tuesday, October 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

    80+ Birthday Celebration

    Honoring our members 80 years and older, sponsored by Fairfield Federal. Lunch follows the program. RSVP is required; caregivers are $8, just share their name when registering. Transport to and from the parking lot will be available.

  • · 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

    Panera Fundraiser

    Take the coupon on page 7 of the newsletter to Panera, or order online all day with code FUND4U, and Olivedale receives a portion of net sales.

    Fraud & Scams Seminar

    The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office on the scams aimed at the senior community, what to watch for and how to protect yourself.

  • · 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

    HallowThanksMas Craft Bazaar

    Free admission and parking, open to the public. Various holiday vendors, Olivedale noodles and candy bars and a basket raffle. Bazaar details and vendor registration.
